It's Not Just a Gaming Console - Playstation 3

Like other gaming consoles, the PS3 now has wireless controllers. The only reason to plug them into the USB ports is to charge them. The one downfall, to these controllers, is that the batteries are not replaceable. When a battery life is gone, the entire controller will have to be replaced. (Other gaming consoles have replaceable packs.)

One thing that these controllers do have, that some others do not, is motion-sensitivity. The technology is not nearly as advanced as that found in the WII, but it is still there. There are different actions that occur, based on your movements and the game that you are playing. Additionally, unlike the WII, the motion sensors can be turned off - allowing you to play a game without messing with movements.

In addition to the new gaming technologies, the PS3 offers a multitude of multi-media functionality. Images can be presented in albums or slide shows, like no other gaming console offers. Your favorite music can be stored and played endlessly. DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and even other video formats can be watched through your new PS3.

PS3 consoles can be found ranging anywhere from $300 to $500; all dependent on the size hard drive you are looking for. Regardless of price, the PS3 offers you a whole new world of entertainment. From movies, to games, to online communities - it is the console of today.
